ENGERRRLAND!!! Umbro's Faces of England Campaign Rocks!

Super cool!

Damon Albarn teams up with Umbro to show his love for the three lions!

Check this out!!! Visit Umbro's website to read a super cool interview with Damon - who does little to blur his love for England (err... I just had to say it!!). Add to it, they've also posted some great video interviews with England legend: Gazza (aka Paul Gascoigne)!!

Link to Umbro's page featuring Damon!

Btw, hats off to Umbro for having the class to promote the fact that their England jerseys are "tailored by Umbro"... very cool, and talk about the power of using just the right words!

Krewella... DEVINE!

Meet Krewella... a dubstep EDM three piece from Chicago. Their new EP "Play Hard" is absolutely awesome! Here's the deal... Krewella's music slams between frantic and pretty... as the band's token male, Kris Trindl, gatecrashes each track in a hail of wicked beats and hard synths. His collaborators, sisters, Yashmin and Jahan Yousaf, craft fantastic vocals that beautifully weave within the whirlwind of insanely clever electro chaos. I love it!

My personal favorite tracks are:
Alive
Play Hard
One Minute

You can check out their video for Alive below:

Oh yeah!!! I almost forgot... another amazing song you can find on itunes... is a track they did with Adventure Club... the song is called: Rise & Fall.

TRON Uprising : Super bonne!

Tron: Uprising
The must see TV event of the summer!

Techno-color warfare, cyber fashion, and niteglo action... whirls, twists, and derezzes in a world of electro-pixels and synthesized disorder. Tron: Uprising, a TV show from Disney, is a pure visual treat... and features a host of new villains and heroes in the mythology of Tron. The story centers around a young program named Beck who is determined to not let his world fall into the hands of the evil, overlord Clu. In the ensuing "uprising", Beck is faced off against Clu's general, Tesler, and his two lieutenants - Paige and Pavel.

The action never stops, as the story weaves over a binary plain. Beck is a great character with all of the quirks and self doubts of an ancient greek hero, while his primary nemesis Paige is one of the coolest evil villains in Disney's catalog. She's an ice cool character who is determined to bring an end to Beck's "uprising."

Paige and Beck meet
Beck and Tron
Pavel, Paige and General Tesler
Super Cool Paige! She should star in an EDM band!
You can learn more by visiting, the official site.
Also you can buy the episodes (which I strongly recommend!) on itunes!

THE #1 RELEASE OF 2012, THUS FAR (of course!!)

Chicane
"What am I Doing Here?" / "Thousand Mile Stare"

Ok... two releases are listed here... but deal is: "What Am I Doing Here" is the epic single of 2012. There are killer remixes and rare demos of this song available all over the internet. Released on last year's Giant album, the song should have been the biggest hit of the year!! My recommendations:

What am I doing here pt.1 (early demo male vox) - you can find this on YouTube
What Am I Doing Here? Pt. 1 (Walsh & McAuley Remix) - available on the Trance Essentials 2011, Vol. 1 (40 Trance Hits In the Mix) album

On the other hand, be sure to check out "Thousand Mile Stare"... a sublime trance album featuring so many amazing songs, including:

Three
Sólarupprás (Disco Citizens Remix)
The Nothing Song
Playing Fields (feat. Kate Walsh)

In fact, I found this really interesting interview with Chicane... where he talks about the new album. You can check it out, here!

The Ten Most Important Releases in 2012, thus Far: #2!

Emma Hewitt
"Burn the Sky Down"

Without a doubt Emma Hewitt has released one of the most complete albums of the year - "Burn the Sky Down." I can not recommend this release enough. Perfect in every way - complete with electronic dance floor stormers and soft romantic moments. My three favorites on the album are:

These days are ours
Colours
Miss you paradise

Here's a link to the video to her video for "Miss You Paradise"
Don't delay... go check her out!

Nadia Ali
"Believe It"

Another year... and another string of hits from Nadia Ali. Her latest, "Believe it, features a collaboration with Spencer & Hill, and continues in her great tradition of definitive EDM. However, "Believe it" is just one of several songs released in the last 7-10 months. Others include:
"Keep it coming": a collaboration with Starkillers
"Free to go": by Alex Sayz, featuring Nadia on vocals
"This is your life": a collaboration with EDX
"Rolling the dice" a collaboration with Sander Van Doorn and Sidney Samson
Also... be on the look out for her upcoming collaboration with BT, titled "Must be the love"

Shiny Toy Guns
"Waiting Alone"

Carah Faye is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's all you really need know... Now go & buy this! I. CAN'T. WAIT. TO. HEAR. REMIXES! This song is massive!

Here's a very cool announcement video that STG did when Carah rejoined the band!

The Ten Most Important Releases in 2012, thus Far: #6!

Ellie Goulding
"High For This"

Goulding seems to be having a really big year. Her single "lights" is getting a lot of US airplay, which is great. But, for me, the most striking song in her catalogue is her cover of Weeknd's "High For This." Epic vocals, and the ideal song for her. I love the original - and I highly suggest that you look the Weeknd's "House of Balloons" - but I have so much respect for Goulding and her approach to this cover. Oh! One more tip, look for the Monsieur Adi remix of Goulding's cover... it's a show stopper!

Oh... check this video out... it's Goulding performing Lights live... awesome!!!

And here's Weeknd performing their song "High for this" at Coachella.

The Ten Most Important Releases in 2012, thus Far: #7!

Gareth Emery & Christina Novelli
"Concrete Angel"

Emery and Novelli's single is pure heaven sent. Novelli's vocals are powerful, vulnerable, and the perfect foil to Emery's raging electronic storm. The song is a *MUST* for EDM enthusiasts... and spoiler alert: just wait until the chorus washes over you - mind blowing!

Oh! and by the way... the video is super cool! Check it out here!

The Ten Most Important Releases in 2012, thus Far: #8!

The Saturdays
"Higher"

Ok... so I'm cheating with this song. It was released two years ago... but, it has yet to be released in the USA! UGH! This song is amazing! Especially the version featuring Flo Rida! Outstanding pop!

Check the video out (which was oddly shot in the USA... but song's not available??? hrmm!): "Higher featuring flo rida"

The Ten Most Important Releases in 2012, thus Far: #9!

Example
"Changed the Way You Kissed Me"

Exemplary British band at the moment. "Changed the Way You Kissed Me" is wicked from the start, and never looks back.

Check 'em out playing it live at Wembley!

The Ten Most Important Releases in 2012, thus Far: #10!

Pet Shop Boys
"Winner"

Awesome new song, perfect for watching Euro 2012 highlights!

So they don't have a video for this song, but they did release a video for invisible - their other new song. Check it out!
