10 Live Performances That Will Blow Your Socks Off!

Hello! Hey... I've been surfing around YouTube looking for cool live performances... I LOVE LIVE MUSIC... and I found 10 that I just had to share!!!

For starters... check out:
Alphabeat performing the "DJ". The recording isn't the best, but their energy is infectious!

After that, check out this odd clip of Ou Est Le Swimming Pool performing "dance the way I feel" on a British TV show. Fantastic performance... topped with some seriously crazy dance moves (watch the little kid!!!)!

A cool tip: Alphabeat and Ou Est Le Swimming Pool have been gigging together recently... so keep your eyes out for upcoming shows!

Ok... so I just missed seeing Yes Giantess... but they are so good, and their performance of "Can't Help It" makes my top ten. Awesome! And for those lucky enough to see them with Little Boots... send me an email and let me know how it was!!

The next three additions to my top ten, are three of my top ten-artists on my i-pod at the moment - Calvin Harris, FrankMusik, and The Sound of Arrows. Future music, future pop, future dance with a twist...

Calvin Harris's performance of "I'm Not Alone" is outstanding and explosive. Let's have it London!

FrankMusik has been tearing it up for a while... but with his new album... he'll surely start to gain the mass popularity that his music deserves. Enjoy "Better Off As 2"... wicked.

And if you haven't heard of The Sound of Arrows... you must. The performance I've included is interesting, but it's not polished at all... but brilliant in it's own right. The song... "Into the Clouds"... the most precious single of the year.

Ok... so I'd be remiss in not mentioning the new The Killers's Live DVD... Live in England, the boys from Las Vegas... blow the roof off The Royal Albert Hall! The clip I found on YouTube is "when you were young". Rock n' rolllllll!!!! Makes me want to start a band!!

And finally... here's a hat-trick of retro performances that round out a perfect 10!

The Shout Out Louds performing "Impossible" - one of my favorite tracks this December. And I was just checking out their myspace page... and they are in the studio working on their next album. Yippie!!!

Then check out... Space Cowboy in Japan performing a DJ set... spinning "Talking in Your Sleep." The crowd is nuts! In the best possible way!!! I love this song! It's my gym companion - helping me stay in shape!!

And finally, M83 instantly became one of my favorite bands when I heard "Couleurs." This performance is so awesome. Enjoy!

And for a recap - all live, all awesome, all-mighty!!!:
Alphabeat - DJ
Ou Est Le Swimming Pool - Dance The Way I Feel
Yes Giantess - Can't Help It
Calvin Harris - I'm Not Alone
FrankMusik - Better off as 2
The Sound of Arrows - Into the Clouds
The Killers - When You Were Young

Beats Fantastique!

Danish pop never sounded soooooo good! Meet Denmark's Alphabeat. With limited music available in the USA, fans of dance music listen up... Alphabeat is worth the extra Euros! In September of this year, the sextet returned with the soundlicious "The Spell" ... an amazing new dance track that takes all of the best cues from early 1990's house. Immediately catchy, and unforgettable... "The Spell" finds Alphabeat spinning, dancing, and grooving in the great tradition of classic house bands like Blackbox and London Beat. Then add Stine Bramsen's absolutely adorable look in the video... and you have the most wonderful, mesmerizing video in the history of videos! err... well... something like that...
Check it... by visiting:
The Official Video for "The Spell" to the video on youtube.
Same video... but an absolutely killer remix: Digital Dog remix.
And... last but not least... here's their myspace page.
Respect in 2009!

I'm back!

Hey... it's been soo long. but you know what... I bet I'm the only one that reads this anyways!
Ok... so... I've been finding all sorts of great music... that I just had to post some new songs that deserve attention... Let's start with: Fibes, oh Fibes! featuring Kim Wilde, "Run To You"... amazing pop song. As with all great songs... it's currently available everywhere but in the USA! Ugh. Why is this always the case??

I've had a couple of Fibes, oh Fibes! tracks for a while - their older stuff, you can pick up on Itunes. But I was never a big fan. I loved their vocals, but I struggled to appreciate their mustaches. Let's face it... it's a bit of a rough look... to be honest. But with "Run To You" they've connected all the dots... brilliant pop... very well done. So until it's available, you can check out "Run To You" by visiting:
"Run To You" on YouTube
Fibes, Oh Fibes! on Myspace - check out "Love Child" too... cool!
"Run To You" live! - perhaps the performance isn't crackin'... but boy can they sing!

Oh, one point... in looking at their tour dates on their Myspace page... is it me... or is it way too coincidental that Fibes, Oh Fibes! is playing at the "The Raw Bar" in Eskilstuna?
